Building on a strong start

Welcome to the second day of ITB Asia 2026! After a busy opening day of meetings, conversations and introductions across the show floor, today brings more opportunities. Yesterday showed us just how much can happen when the travel industry comes together in one place, and there is plenty more ahead.

If the first day of the show was about opening conversations, today is about taking them a step further. There is plenty to discover across ITB Asia, MICE Show Asia and Travel Tech Asia, whether you are meeting an existing partner, looking for a new destination or product, or finding the technology that could change the way you do business.

MICE is a particularly important part of the picture this year. MICE Show Asia has expanded its exhibition space by 184%, reflecting the continued appetite for business events across Asia Pacific and growing expectations around experience, flexibility, technology and sustainability. The conference programme picks up many of these themes, with sessions looking at event design, ROI, buyer expectations, AI and what the next generation of business events could look like.

Sustainability is also firmly on today’s agenda. Some sessions at The Knowledge Theatre will explore how responsible practices can be built into travel strategy, product development and destination management, while others will look at slower, more purposeful travel and the value it can create for communities and visitors alike.

Over at Travel Tech Asia, you won’t want to miss the latest developments across AI, connectivity, booking and distribution, payments and hospitality technology, alongside a new Hosted Buyer Programme designed to create more targeted business opportunities.

Make the most of today. Follow up on yesterday’s conversations, introduce yourself to someone new, step into a session you had not planned to attend and leave some room in the diary for the unexpected. Day 2 is often where an introduction becomes an idea, and an idea becomes something worth taking home.

Have a great day!
